Mixing a Syrian soap opera
Politically independent Syrian station Radio Alwan broadcasts in exile in Turkey but transmits its programmes back home to Syria.
For the past year it has been running its own weekly drama series, Sad Northern Nights, which centres on a widow and her teenage son as they flee their war torn country.
