Steve Davis: 'I was living the dream'
Six time world snooker champion Steve Davis has retired from the sport at the age of 58. He began his career in 1978 and was world number one from 1983 to 1990.
Davis saw his father and mentor Bill pass away two weeks ago, but played in the world qualifiers in his memory.
He said his final game "wasn't a sad day at all, it was a day to celebrate, my father got to see most of it so it came full circle".
Davis said "it's been a joy, my hobby became my profession […] I was living the dream".
