How I made a heroic citizen's arrest on a pickpocket
A commuter has spoken to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 5 live about how he made a citizen's arrest, after he spotted a suspected pickpocket on the London Tube.
Lewis Whiting told Daily’s Adrian Chiles how he stopped the man from escaping by shutting him in a guard's booth, after removing him from a train.
He said: " I took hold both of his arms and pulled him backwards off the train – to not give him a chance to fight back or hurt anyone else on the train.â€
Florin Constantin later admitted attempted theft and was jailed for 14 weeks at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
