Shearer: I would not take the Newcastle job
Alan Shearer says he would turn down the chance to manage Newcastle if the job was offered to him again.
The former Newcastle striker took charge for the final eight matches of the 2009 season, but could not prevent the club from being relegated from the Premier League.
John, a Newcastle fan, asked if Shearer would take the job again if current manager Rafael Benitez does not stay beyond the current season.
Shearer said: "I thought I was taking it for the long term last time and for a thousand reasons it did not happen. But I would not come back into Newcastle. Not yet anyway."
