Should women drive in F1?

Bernie Ecclestone's views on women in Formula 1 could stop female drivers being given a chance in the sport, said British racing driver Alice Powell.

The F1 boss told an advertising conference in London that women were "not physically be able to drive an F1 car quickly", and "they wouldn't be taken seriously" in the sport.

But 23-year-old Powell, who came close to racing with Caterham in 2014, is confident female drivers can compete.

She said, "there are many females out there that are more than capable and determined to get to F1."

But she's worried Ecclestone's comments "will make getting sponsorship for females slightly harder".
