Author Malorie Blackman: I'm not a fan of academy plans
Award-winning writer Malorie Blackman has said she is "uncomfortable" with the Government's decision to force all state schools to become academies.
The former Children's Laureate told 5 live she did not think the 'one-size fits all' approach worked for education and she was worried about the motivations for running an academy.
"Are people running them for a profit?" she said. "The whole idea of profitising our children's education does not sit well with me."
