London marathon death: friend aims to finish race
A friend of an army captain, who collapsed and died while running the London marathon, says he is "determined to give him some sort of legacy" by finishing the race on his behalf.
Afghanistan veteran David Seath, 31, had a cardiac arrest three miles short of the finish of the London marathon, near the 23-mile mark, close to Southwark Bridge.
Captain James Walker-McClimens told 5 live's Adrian Goldberg he would finish the race as David was "the sort of bloke that would be annoyed with himself for not completing something like that".
James said: "He was kind, generous, popular and well liked and always a great laugh. He was a great person to be around. More importantly, he was a true professional and fantastic army officer."
