Fisherman’s friends use his ashes as bait to catch huge fish
Two anglers from Hull have fulfilled their friend's final wish, by feeding his ashes to the fishes.
Ron Hopper was diagnosed with liver cancer and died before he could join his friends on a planned trip to Thailand.
Chris Dale and Paul Fairbrass told Radio 5 live Daily's Peter Allen how Ron wanted his ashes to be scattered on a lake in Thailand, where he had happy memories of a fishing holiday.
"About four days before he died, we took a bottle of rum round and discussed what we were going to do. That’s when we come up with the idea."
