Former Labour peer and party donor Lord Sugar has told 5 live Breakfast that Ken Livingstone's comments about Adolf Hitler supporting Zionism before the Holocaust, are "stupid and ignorant".

He stated that Livingstone was "obsessed" with "Hitler, concentration camps and Jews" but believes he will "talk his way out" of expulsion from the party.

Speaking to Clare McDonnell, Lord Sugar said he did not know what Livingstone was "playing at" and believes he has "lost the plot".
