Eat lean meat, bathe regularly, wear comfortable shoes and don't lead a sedentary life are some of the American poet's tips. This was all published in a thirteen-part health series. David Reynolds, Distinguished Professor of American Literature at the City of New York Graduate Center and the author of "Walt Whitman's America" explains more.
