The one minute workout
A new study into the benefits derived from exercise has concluded that 60 seconds of intense working out (as part of a ten minute session) may have the same effect on health as 45 minutes of moderate exertion. Scientists at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario in Canada say the success of the lightning-quick interval workout may be a great alternative to the gym for time-strapped people. Dan Damon talked to Martin Gibala who oversaw the study.
