鈥楳an City did not play English way in Europe鈥�
Former England winger Chris Waddle believes Manchester City should have played the 'English way' in their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid.
City were eliminated from the competition as Gareth Bale's goal gave the Spanish side a 1-0 win on aggregate.
Waddle says too many British clubs change their style of play in Europe.
"The only club who play like they do in the Premier League is Liverpool,鈥� he said. 鈥淐ity showed nothing. If you come to Spain and play an English-type game, they will not like it. The Premier League makes you play a certain style of football and you have to take that into games. If you try and play a different style completely, it never works."
