GP: ‘General Practice is in crisis’
A GP has told 5 live "general practice is in crisis" after a new report found the number of patients seen by family doctors has increased by 15% over the last five years.
Dr Katie Bramall-Stainer, who is a partner in a GP practice in Hertford, said many General Practitioners are at "real risk of serious burnout" from working such long hours.
The report, which is by the health think tank, the King's Fund, also found that nine out of ten GPs-in-training plan to only work part-time when they qualify.
