Car makers are introducing increasingly sophisticated autonomous features to ‘assist’ with driving. Tesla is the first to have added lane-changing ability to its cars, which was offered to Model S and Model X owners.

Author and transport expert Christian Wolmar has written about the 'myth' of driverless cars. Professor Paul Newman who leads the Mobile Robotics Group at Oxford University however defends the ideas that it is going to become a reality 'very soon'.
