
Cage fighter Dada 5000: ‘I died in the ring’
Cage Fighter Dada 5000 recalls the moment his heart stopped during the battle of his life.
“When I got inside that ring, I felt terrible. When I fell in that ring I already was having a heart attack – two back to back. I died, I died in that ring.â€
The American fighter was rushed to hospital suffering from renal and heart failure after losing 25 percent of his body weight before the fight. He told us he was lucky to be alive.
This interview was part of a programme about the dangers of extreme weight loss by Mixed Martial Art fighters.
