A Conservative MP has admitted losing a hedgehog in the House of Commons chamber after he smuggled it into Parliament.

Michael Fabricant said he dropped the hedgehog after it 'peed' on his hands.

Mr Fabricant told John Pienaar, "we never found him and I think he's a happy hedgehog with all his grandchildren living in the Speaker's garden."
