300 economists have signed an open letter calling for the introduction of public registers to combat tax avoidance and evasion, ahead of an anti-corruption summit in London on Thursday.
Jayati Gosh is one of the signatories of the letter and a professor of economics at Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi. James Quarmby, a tax lawyer at international law firm Stephenson Harwood, opposes the introduction of a public register.
