Transparent's Jeffrey Tambor: I support Caitlyn Jenner
Transparent star Jeffrey Tambor defended 'friend of the show' Caitlyn Jenner who will star in Season 3 of the Bafta winning Amazon Prime series. Caitlyn Jenner has been criticised by some not being representative of the trans community due to her wealth, fame and views.
Tambor told 5 live's Sarah Brett he supported all transgender people: "I’m for Caitlyn Jenner...I’m for the red carpet version, the green carpet version, all versions of it."
The actor, who is also known for roles in Arrested Development and The Larry Sanders show, added he understood when he was criticised for being a cisgender male playing a transgender role.
