Is gingerism real?
A ginger comedian, who organised a march against 'gingerism', has told 5 live red-heads can often feel "discriminated against".
Shawn Hitchens, who has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, said he personally sees the word ginger as a "term of endearment" but went on to suggest "person of primary colour" as an alternative way to address red-heads.
The comedian made his comments after the Royal Ballet's Edward Watson accused a critic of being 'gingerist' and obsessed with his ginger hair and pale skin.
