The Gold digger who discovered Britain's biggest nugget
The man who discovered a £50,000 golden nugget has said it's a "bit sad" that he is unable to keep it.
Vincent Thurkettle found the 97.12g nugget in 2012 but kept it a secret to avoid other treasure hunters flocking the area.
Speaking to 5 live Breakfast's Clare McDonnell he said, "gold fever is real you know".
"I've eased off, if someone finds something better then good luck to them because I can't find anymore".
Vincent will have to visit the nugget in a museum if he wants to see it again as it is now property of the Crown.
