    A board or a trust?
The Culture Secretary, John Whittingdale, has outlined the government's plans for the future of the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½.
They include proposals to create a new board to run the organisation - with the majority of its members appointed independently of the government.
The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s media correspondent David Sillito considers how the new board will differ from the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Trust in overseeing the work of the corporation - and why the plans have already proved controversial.
