Seaside resort bans 'violent' Punch and Judy
A Plaid Cymru councillor has banned a Punch and Judy show from a festival in Barry Island. Ian Johnson told 5 Live that the inclusion of the puppet show "goes against their policy on domestic violence prevention"
He added that "it doesn’t make sense to me that as a council we give money to charities who work to prevent and reduce domestic violence and at the same time funding a children's show which involves the main character hitting his wife with a stick"
