Rescuing the Taliban’s youngest recruits
Over the past few years hundreds of children have been recruited by the Taliban to be suicide bombers in Pakistan and their actions have claimed 3,500 lives in 200 attacks. Outlook Inspirations nominee Dr Feriha Peracha is a clinical psychologist and director of a project in Pakistan which aims to rehabilitate some of these children and teenagers. She has the difficult task of completely changing the perspectives of troubled youngsters, who've been told that suicide bombing is a direct route to heaven.
