A businessman watched his firm being robbed at home on CCTV, after being told by the police that they could not attend until the next day.

Paul Smart who watched the £20,000 theft take place told Radio 5 lives Daily's Sam Walker about his horror when he got the call that he was getting burgled at 3am.

"I went to 101 and they said the police were very busy and that they've had a stabbing. Sorry nobody is coming out to you."
