Fancy a job on the world's most remote inhabited island?

Tristan Da Cunha is the most remote inhabited island on the planet - and it's looking for a new mechanic.

The island is about halfway between South Africa and South America. It takes up to ten days to access by boat from the nearest mainland, and just 265 people live there.

There's just 12 miles of roads, and the mechanic is expected to look after 125 cars for £25,000 a year.

Mike Woolfenden is the Director of Public Works on the island, he said "we've had some interest, but we really need someone who's got experience in challenging positions".

He added "It rains every three days, the winds are extremely powerful and the vehicles are many and varied".
