Brandreth's bear collection for stately home
One of the world's biggest collections of famous teddy bears is about to take up permanent residence at a stately home in North Yorkshire.
The owner of the collection, broadcaster Gyles Brandreth, has told 5 live bears make "the best companions" but after collecting "more than a thousand" of the cuddly toys, he had to find them a new home.
Gyles said he had collected bears for decades after getting "hooked" on them.
The Bear House exhibition at Newby Hall in Ripon will become home to, amongst others, Paddington, Fozzie Bear and Sooty.
