Białowieża - the threat to Europe's last remaining primeval woodland
Do the threats to Białowieża, Europe's last primeval forest, come from an insect or from the Polish government? Several environmental groups disagree and say the logging violates the European Union's programme protecting an eight-thousand year-old ecosystem. Alan Weisman is a science journalist, and the author of The World Without Us.
