A bus driver whose quick thinking saved eleven children from a collapsing bridge has told 5 live he just took the incident 鈥渋n his stride鈥�.

Derek Trow was taking the children home from school in Tenbury Wells yesterday, when he noticed the 223 year old Eastham Bridge he was driving across collapsing in front of him. He said 鈥渢he wall on one side had gone at the bottom鈥�, which meant they had to get off of the bridge 鈥渟traight away鈥�.

Worcestershire County Council said the area around the bridge had been made safe and an investigation has been launched into what happened.
