Wilko Johnson: Cancer diagnosis 'made me feel alive'
Guitarist Wilko Johnson has said his cancer diagnosis was the start of "one of the most extraordinary years" of his life. The former Dr Feelgood star was told in 2013 he had cancer which was feared to be terminal. Wilko told Afternoon Edition's Sarah Brett and Colin Paterson how he can vividly recall the moment he found out about his illness. When the doctor revealed the news, Wilko said he was "absolutely calm" and then "almost ecstatic… Everything around me seemed to be tingling. I just felt absolutely alive."
