Vimto is popular among Muslims, as a way to break fast during the holy month.

There鈥檚 been a spike in sales in the Middle East, especially in Saudia Arabia, where the mixture is twice as concentrated.

Suleman Khonat is a newsagent in Blackburn and a practicing Muslim, he said 鈥渨hen you break fast you need a drink which is nourishing, which helps energise you very quickly, I think vimto does gown well鈥�.

He said sales of the drink during Ramadan are 鈥渁bout average, sales are fairly good anyway鈥�.
