Could flying cars be the future of transport?
A company in the Netherlands thinks we could see flying cars on the roads (and skies) in the next two years. Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V Europe NV, has spent 17 years developing the concept. He has now taken the first commercial orders for a three-wheeled car which turns into a gyroplane, with unfolding rotors.
He told 5 live Breakfast: “It’s a gyroplane which is the safest and easiest way of flying”
“You can learn, it’s pretty easy. Yes, you need a licence but that’s not a big hurdle, it’s actually a lot of fun to learn flying”
