School friend of Jo Cox: 'I'll remember those cheeky dimples'

A school friend of Labour MP Jo Cox has said he will remember her as a "vivacious person with a lovely smile and cheeky dimples".

Conservative leader of Kirklees Council David Hall grew up with Jo Cox and described her as "very popular, hard working and sporty".

He said everybody knew that she would "get where she wanted to be" in life and she achieved top results in "every subject without fail".

He added that a "great hole" has been left in his school memories and hopes that the support of "many thousands of people" will provide comfort to her friends and family.

Jo Cox died after being shot and stabbed in the street just after she'd been holding a help and advice session for people in her constituency, Batley and Spen.
