Iran's treasured collection of Western modern art
Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is home to one of the world's most prestigious collections of Western modern art. Part of the collection will be shown at an exhibition in Berlin later this year -- the first cultural exchange of its kind between Iran and Europe since the 1978 Iranian Revolution. Roxane Zand, Sotheby's deputy chair for the Middle East and Gulf Region, who worked for the museum in the 1970s, recently visited her old office. This was her first trip back home in 37 years!
