The best I have seen Wales play 'in a long time' - Hartson
Former Wales striker John Hartson says the team’s performance in the 3-0 Euro 2016 win over Russia is the best he has seen them play in a ‘long, long time.’
Wales went 2-0 up inside the opening 20 minutes through goals from Aaron Ramsey and Neil Taylor before Gareth Bale scored his third goal in three games in the second half.
The victory for Chris Coleman’s side saw them top Group B ahead of England, who drew 0-0 with Slovakia.
“An absolutely magnificent effort and they totally dominated Russia in every department,” he said.
“They outfought, outplayed and out-battled them,
“This is the best I have seen Wales play in a long, long time,” Hartson added.
