Northern Ireland's lessons for peace in Colombia
The Colombian government and the Farc rebels say they have reached a historic agreement to put an end to 52 years of internal conflict. Northern Ireland has also emerged from decades of conflict and a Northern Irish delegation travelled to Cuba several times to advise on the peace negotiations. Mark Durkan, an MP with the Social Democrat and Labour Party, was in that delegation. He says the Colombian government and Farc learned both from the achievements and mistakes of the Northern Irish model.
