Lucas: EU Ref result is 'a massive wake up call to Westminster'
The UK has voted by a narrow margin to leave the European Union in a historic referendum.
Green MP and Remain campaigner Caroline Lucas said the result showed “how deep divisions” in the country went, and the “levels of anger and alienation” people felt.
“I worry that leaving the EU is actually going to make our situation so much worse and people are going to end up even more angry .”
Lib Dem leader Tim Farron added “I agree with that. There’s nothing more dangerous than a sense of betrayal amongst the people.”
