Labour opponents tussle on air over Corbyn future
The Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell says the Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn is "not going anywhere" despite a wave of resignations from the shadow cabinet.
Speaking on Pienaar's Politics, he said if there was a leadership election in the Labour party, he would back Jeremy Corbyn saying, "I think he'll win again".
But Labour MP Tristram Hunt told John Pienaar that Jeremy Corbyn had "failed catastrophically" to mobilise the vote in the Labour heartlands in favour of staying in the EU.
The former Shadow Education Secretary claimed Mr Corbyn would not be able to find enough Labour MPs willing to serve in his shadow cabinet.
Mr Hunt said, "I hope he would reflect on that and do the decent thing".
