‘Next England manager has to work wonders’ – Waddle
Former England winger Chris Waddle says Roy Hodgson’s replacement will have to ‘work wonders’ with the squad.
Hodgson resigned after England were knocked out of Euro 2016 by Iceland, with Gareth Southgate, Alan Pardew and Eddie Howe among the early bookies favourites for the role.
“Whoever is going to come in is going to have to work wonders with these players,” Waddle said.
“It’s a massive job, people don’t realise how hard it is,” he added.
