MPs laugh at news of resignation "after just two days"
The breaking news that Pat Glass MP had resigned after just two days in her new job in Jeremy Corbyn's Shadow Cabinet provoked laughter from MPs, who were live on air on 蜜芽传媒 Radio 5 live at the time.
Ms Glass, North West Durham MP, was promoted to Shadow Education Secretary on Monday after a raft of resignations in the wake of the EU referendum result.
Hearing the news, Stephen Kinnock, Labour MP for Aberavon, told 5 live presenter Peter Allen that "Pat was appointed two days ago, so that may be a record". Also in the studio was Conservative MP Nigel Evans and Liberal Democrat MP Norman Lamb.
