Behind Chilcot: 'My family died' after brother's Iraq death
Ahead of the publication of the Chilcot report – the long-awaited report into the Iraq War - 5 live has been speaking to the people behind the headlines.
The public inquiry was launched in 2009 into the UK's participation in the US-led invasion of Iraq - which led to the toppling of Saddam Hussein and led to British troops remaining on Iraqi soil for six years.
Sarah O’Connor’s brother, Sergeant Bob O’Connor, was killed in action aged 38 when the Hercules plane he was travelling in was shot down in Iraq.
She said the day she found out about his death was “the day her family died”.
