Comedian Ted Robbins pays tribute to his friend Caroline Aherne, who has died from cancer aged 52.

The Phoenix Nights star used to work as the warm-up act for The Mrs Merton Show.

"She had that Northern warmth," he said. "She wasn't cruel, but she could be very acerbic, you know. She could get stuck in."

He praised her "little observations" which "made life wonderful".
