Culture minister Ed Vaizey spoke to 5 live Breakfast about the ‘need for a proper debate about our country’s future’ in the race for Tory Leadership.

Polls have suggested that Theresa May is leading the race and it has been suggested by some to give her the job in order to provide some stability to the party.

Mr Vaizey said that ‘the leader needs the vote from grass roots members and it is a very healthy and important process’.
