Diana Nyad was a champion long distance swimmer in her twenties, setting the record for swimming around Manhattan Island. In 1978 she made her first attempt to swim from Cuba to Florida - a distance of over 110 miles - but failed to get across. In her sixties she made four further attempts to swim the route, finally achieving her dream at the age of 64 in 2013. She talks to Libby Purves and Paco Pena about what drives her.
