Diamond Reynolds said her boyfriend was "an amazing man."

Philando Castile was shot dead by a police officer in Minnesota last week, and Reynolds live streamed a video of the aftermath, which has been viewed by millions.

Reynolds told 5 live's Samantha Fenwick that there need to be new laws to protect both the police and African-Americans against gun violence.

She said she and Castile "were planning marriage, we were going to get a dog, we were going to have kids […] We were going to do those things, and now I don't know how I'm going to do those things without him."
