British Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell says the International Olympic Committee has "no choice" but to ban Russia from Rio 2016 to prevent "a mockery being made" of this summer's Games.

An investigation commissioned by the World Anti-Doping Agency found Russia had operated a state-sponsored doping programme for four years across the "vast majority" of Olympic sports.

Campbell, who called for a three-year ban, added: "If I was the Russian sports minister I would pull everybody out and say we need to sort our own house out.鈥�
