Sobers is the best batsman I've ever seen - Boycott
Geoffrey Boycott says former West Indies all-rounder Sir Garfield Sobers was the best batsman he has ever seen.
The former England batsman was paying tribute to Sobers who turns 80 this week.
Boycott said: "He is the best batsman I have ever seen and those of you who have seen Viv Richards, there you are. If I had to choose, there鈥檚 very little between them but I would go for Gary. People always look at figures. I think that is wrong - you should look at people in the era they played against the other people in that era. That gives you the best judgement of all."
