A Syrian aid worker based in Aleppo says that since the siege there is so little food, five pieces of bread have to feed a family of ten for two days.

The people of Aleppo are so poor, he says, that parents are making their children sleep more so they consume less food. He says they are scared they will starve to death like in other Syrian cities.
