Decker: I regret the way I treated Budd in 1984
Former US track athlete Mary Decker admits she regrets the way she treated Zola Budd after their infamous clash at the 1984 Olympics.
Decker and Budd, who was representing Great Britain, collided during the 3,000m at the Los Angeles Olympic Games which caused Decker to fall halfway through the race.
Speaking of the events after the race, Decker said: "She approached me and I just remember saying 'don't bother' - simply I did not want to talk to anybody. I do regret that because I feel like that is unfair."
