Former Neighbours star Mark Little has paid tribute to his on-screen mother Vivean Gray, who has died aged 92.

She moved from Cleethorpes to Australia and took on the role of Mrs Mangel in the legendary Australian soap.

Mark Little said she was a "a great actor, a great person, a great laugh and a true professional" but was "hounded out" of the role by fans who thought she was just like her character.

He told Sam Walker: "She came back to England and hid. That was the one great sadness of the story."
