'Pogba and Stones transfers only a matter of time'
Times football writer Rory Smith says Paul Pogba's move to Manchester United and John Stones' transfer to Manchester City are both nearing a conclusion.
Pogba is expected to join from Juventus for a fee in the region of £100m, while Everton are set to receive £50m for the sale of Stones.
Smith said: "It is much more an issue of when Pogba joins United, rather than whether he joins United. Pretty much everything, as we understand it, is sorted out."
When asked about how Stones’ move to Manchester City is progressing, Smith said: "That is another one that has got to that stage where we all start to think this is now a matter of when not if. It can be a very slow process at the end, but it will go through in the coming days."
